iCursor App Reviews

upgrade services

Why is it that your upgrade availability is so poor, and if there is for third party upgrade you guys are just putting bugs in our computer. Apple, please take heed on this matter, for even so that they just sell this application for low price, it doesnt mean that it is free.

Works fine

Rather cool looking, but can be a distraction since it never stops. Even when the pointer is resting (not being moved) clouds are shooting out of it. It would be better to only have the effect when the cursor is moving. It will reduce your productivity. Its good for free. Maybe can it can be used as a kids toy.

Atrocious App

This is possibly the most useless app I have ever seen. It is more annoying than anything. The only useable cursor that wont make you want to kill the developers is snow. Why because it is almost see through and really tiny. All others are either annoying or completely impractical. If I could give 1/4 of a star I would just for snow. Without snow It would be in the negatives for wasting my time, downloading it.

ew..

it was great at first when i just installed it, but it became really annoying later!!!but for people who really like decor for their mac,,, go install it,,, it is worth a try ,

Tacky but Fun

Its so tacky and fantastic! There should be an intensity option though, i find that theres a little too many sparks. Overall would definitely recommend for those really boring days at work and just general browsing. There should be more programs like this.

Non-functional with multiple monitors

Overall the implementation of this app seems pretty solid but it has one major failing: it doesnt work with multiple monitors, which is exactly the use-case I need this for. Add multiple monitor support and the rating for this become a 3 (which is to say: if youre reading this and only have one monitor you should download it).

uggh

wont open or close well it opens slightly but only the top bar and then it wont work and then i cant close it cause it says it isnt open

Needs an update

Tried to run this on macOS Sierra (10.12.1) on a Macbook Pro Retina, but to no avail. if you hold the cursor at 0,0 (x,y) on the screen, the effect is present. When you move the mouse, the effect moves at twice the rate. Also, I have two external monitors which it will not show up on. I tried with all monitors, and none, same issue. I love the idea of this, it would be great to have it working. Would be very useful for when loosing your mouse on multiple monitors, since macOS does not have any sort of ‘mouse trail’ built into their accessibility options.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I got this crazy idea one day to see if I could change the way my cursor looks! Okay, so I guess it wasn’t exactly what I was thinking, but there are lots of options, and it works great! My personal favourite is the snow! :)

Must have for IT crowd

Burn baby burn!

Il mio must è LIGHTER!

don’t even bother

not even worth trying. just don’t.

icoursor

how do you stop it?

how do you get rid of this monster!!!!!

Cant find it. Cant turn it off. clicking on the app does nothing. Cursor support is just a publicity page. No support. HELP!!!! This is an incubus! PLEASE help me get rid of it.

I like it but it doesnt work like it should

I have more than one monitor on my mac. This only works on my primary display. The reason I bought it is because sometimes I cant easily find which monitor my cursor is on and I have to do a lot of mouse moving and head shifting to find it. I figured iCursor would solve my problem. Since it only works on the primary display (one monitor) this doesnt help me at all. Please fix your program to work on multiple displays. Then I will give it five stars. Thanks, Jason

RIP September 5, 2011

I actually got this app last year on its webpage. When I saw that there was a version on the Mac App Store, and it was FREE, in remembrance of Steve, I said why not, and got it. The first version used up a lot of CPU, and in this version, theres a LOT more effects and a LOT less CPU, around 1.5%! Thanks to the dev for not only making this fantastic app free, but also recongizing what Steve Jobs did! And you turn it off in the menu bar, to the 1 star reviewer below... Works on 10.7.1 Lion, by the way...

Nice that its free…but..

I had a free version of cursor from before there was an app store. There may be a few more effects to change onto with this app store version (the version I had before was 1.40) The thing I enjoy about the non-app store version is that it allows you more freedom to customize your effects with a preference menu. The app store version lacks this. I think for now Ill hold onto both versions and see what updates come along. Nice work, developers! If I hadnt known about the older versions preference pane, Id have given this version five stars!

How did this even get on the app store?

Whatever you do, do NOT get this app Free, or Paid.... Unless You feel Like Encountering these problems: - Dock Constantly Freezes Everytime You Activate This - App Laggs Computer - Animated Mouse Drains A Medium Percentage of Battery - Horrible Gui and Interface - This Thing Is Worthless! ... ...and how is this a gift to the Mac community? PinPoint is a better Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, or whatever you celebrate present than this junk.

Fun, simple app

Id give it 5 stars if the cursor was hidden and the effects came out of the mouse point, rather than down and to the right of it. Or if there was an option to do this. Thanks!

I love it.

Its an awesome change of pace from the usual same old same old. However, I would like I way to edit things such as colors and size and the regualar mouse portion either not be visible or fit in with the rest.
